Hubby's Birthday Card.....Take Two !

Hi Everyone,

Hope you have all had a fab weekend and enjoyed an extra hour lie in this morning :)

As you probably remember I had made a card for hubby's birthday yesterday, well I was looking on Bugaboo's Digi shop in the early hours of yesterday morning and I saw the perfect image so I just had to get it and quickly make a new card before he got up !
As soon as I saw 'Guy walking the dog' I knew hubby would love it, he is so in love with our new fur baby Chester.

I coloured him with Promarkers, the sentiment is from DSB and papers are from Anna Marie Designs and The Works. Pearls from stash.

Before I go I thought I would show you a piccy of cheeky Chester :)

Bye for now,

Jolly Holly

Hi Everyone,

Well we are nearly at the weekend again...where is the time going ?! I received my replacement appointment this morning...27th December ! I don't hold out much hope for them keeping that one either to be honest :(

I'm still in Christmas card mode as I still have quite a few to make so I have 2 cards to share with you, this one is using a lovely image from DigiStamp Boutique set called 'Sketchy Holly & Mistletoe' there are 2 images and 5 sentiments for 99p ! Bargain :)

Coloured with Promarkers, I added Wink of Stella to the bow and Glossy Accents to the berries and matted onto dark green card. I doodled a bit of stitching to the edge of the image and sentiment, a few red gems to finish and that's it. Its quite flat for posting too so that's a bonus.

The next card is using an image from the 'Cute Nativity' at DSB, I don't think it's available anymore unfortunately.

Coloured with Promarkers, the papers are from a freebie magazine pack. I matted the panels onto navy card and then onto a kraft card base. I added some navy and white twine which was a bargain from The Works...£1 for quite a big reel. Christmas tree charm from Ebay.

I am entering my angel card into The Holly and Ivy Challenge 17 - Anything Christmas Goes.

That's all for now,

The Gardener

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well and I would just like to welcome my latest followers, I really appreciate your visits :)

I'm back to share the card I made for my hubby's birthday next week using the cute Gardener image from LOTV, I love colouring these images especially doing their clothes

I used some lovely plaid paper I found in my snippets box which I matted onto ruby red card, the image was coloured with Promarkers and the little sentiment stamp is from a set I picked up in a 1 euro shop (bit like our Poundland) when visiting relatives in Spain. It stamped really well and there are loads of different sentiments in the set so it was a good find.

I would like to enter my card into the following Challenges:

Craftyhazelnuts Patterned Paper Challenge Oct - Use patterned paper
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes
Polkadoodle Crafting Challenge wk 42 - Anything Goes
As You Like It Challenge - People or Animals

Christmas Cats

Hi Everyone,

When I saw the new 'Large Christmas Cats' image from DigiStamp Boutique I knew I had to get it to use for my brother and sil's Christmas card as they have 14 rescue cats and are cat mad !

My SIL isn't keen on fussy cards so I kept it simple by printing it large enough to fit the whole front of the card adding a DSB sentiment as well. I coloured the image with Promarkers and added Stickles to the hats and the snow.
The panel was matted onto red card and I added some sparkly twine from The Works.

That's all for now

Batch #3

Good Morning Everyone,
I'm back with the 3rd lot of batch cards, I have to say I'm feeling a lot less stressed about Christmas than I usually am at this time Lol.
Usually every year at this time I haven't started my cards and I would be panicking but this year I have nearly finished them and I have been actually enjoying making them instead of it being a chore.

This first lot are my favourite of all so far, I used a freebie digi image from Buddly Crafts and I enjoyed colouring it so much that I made 8 of these

I coloured them with Promarkers and Illustrators and added Glossy Accents to the leaves and berries. I made 4 matted onto red and 4 matted onto green. They are 5 x 5 cards.

The next ones I used a Docrafts stamp  I have had for a couple of years

I stamped the tree with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Wow superfine silver powder. I matted the panels onto black card. I made 2 of these with brightly coloured gems and 2 with the more traditional red and green gems.

The sentiment on both sets of cards is Clearly Besotted.

That's all for now,

Monster Birthday

Hi Everyone,

I was stumped on what to do for my best friends little boys birthday card so I was looking through challenges for inspiration this morning and when I saw the latest Less is More Challenge - Monsters I had a lightbulb moment :)
This is the card I came up with using a DigiStamp Boutique image

I coloured him with Promarkers and added Wink of Stella to the candle flames and of course he had to have googly eyes ! The sentiment comes with the image and I just matted onto some bright blue card.

Challenges :
DigiStamp Boutique October Competition - Anything Goes
Less Is More - Monsters
I Love Promarkers - Birthdays

That's all for now,

I have a Christmas card to share this time using 'Bert' from DigiStamp Boutique, there are 2 images in the set so I will show you the second one in a day or two.

I have coloured him with Promarkers and matted onto navy card. The DP is from a freebie magazine pack and I have added some punched snowflakes. It doesn't show up in the photo but the snowflakes, stocking and Bert's hat have had the Wink of Stella treatment.

I am entering this card into the following Challenges:

Gardening Alf

Good Morning Everyone,
I'm feeling really frustrated today and a bit fed up because I have been psyching myself up all week to get the results of my MRI/Tests on Monday and they have just cancelled my appointment for the 3rd time !! So more waiting :(
To take my mind off it I have a lot to do in my craft room this weekend so that should help a bit.

I have another Alf card to share with you today hehe with a challenge in mind, As You Like It Challenge - People or Animals....Definitely people for me especially Alf as regulars to my blog will know I just find him so much fun to colour and he always makes me smile.

I have coloured him with Promarkers, papers from The Works. Sentiment from Clearly Besotted and twine and button from my stash.

I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges:

As You Like It - People or Animals
DigiStamp Boutique - October Customer Competition
Digi Choosday Week 42 - Anything Goes

More Batch Cards

Hi Everyone,

I have the next 2 batch designs to share today,

This one is another Woodware stamp which I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with superfine gold powder. I drew the string in with a gellyroll sparkle pen. The panel is matted onto the same pearlised gold card as the reindeer one yesterday.
The sentiment is Clearly Besotted 'Many Mini Messages'

This one I'm really not sure about....
I used a freebie bauble die from several years ago which I cut from glitter card and then backed with red and gold card and fussy cut round. Again I drew the strings in with a sparkle pen, they do show up more in 'the flesh'. I mounted the baubles onto cream card and matted that onto silver mirri.
The sentiment is from the Woodware 'Winter Trees' set from yesterday and I heat embossed with superfine silver powder. I only made 2 of these ones because i really can't decide if I like it or not ;)

That's all for now

Batch Cards

Hi Everyone,

I have been busy the last couple of days batch Christmas card making as I realised I really needed to get a move on to catch up or I would be sending shop ones this year. I don't usually batch make but I decided this year to come up with 4 or 5 designs that I could replicate easily to send to distant family/friends and neighbours. I thought this will then give me more time for making my 'special' cards without rushing at the last minute and may also mean that I actually get my cards in the post before the Christmas post deadline...well that's the plan anyway ;)

So today I'm sharing the first 2 that I came up with

This one is using a Woodware set 'Winter Trees'
I started by cutting some 3.5" squares of white card which I dusted with Broken China and Peacock Feathers Distress ink using my ink duster brushes. I used a water brush to flick some water drops over the top and mopped up the excess with kitchen towel.
I then stamped the hills and trees (which are all individual so you can make up whatever scene you like) with Versafine Black Onyx. I added a little stardust Stickles to the snow mounds for a bit of sparkle and matted the panel on to navy card.
The sentiment is from another Woodware set. I made 6 of these.

This card I started with some 3" squares of cream hammered card which I matted onto some subtle sheen gold card from Anna Marie designs. I cut the Reindeer from Joanna Sheen out of gold glitter card from Hobbycraft. The sentiment is from the previous 'Winter Trees' set and I stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with super fine gold powder. I also made 6 of these.

I will be back later with the next 2 batch makes.

Bye for now

The Workbench

Hi Everyone,

I have another male card to share today, I seem to have been making mainly male cards recently.
This one is using an LOTV digi 'The Workbench' which I coloured with Promarkers.

I used magazine freebie papers matted onto buff card and the sentiment is from a DSB set.
I used a simple layout which I think works well for male cards especially,

Just a Note

Hi,

I have a little notecard to share today that I made with the latest Butterfly Challenge in mind where the theme is V for Vertical and/or D for Damson.
I used a Clearly Besotted set - Butterfly Additions and VersaColor ink cubes to stamp the butterflies, I have got the matching dies for the set but as my Ebosser has gone to die cutter heaven ;) and I'm waiting for a replacement I fussy cut them instead.

I added a couple of clear gems to the 3D butterflies and the sentiment is from a freebies sentiment set. The panel was adhered to a little A6 card blank. I'm planning on making a couple of sets of these in different colours to give as stocking fillers.

Bye for now

Girl with Trike

Hi Everyone,

I realised I hadn't shared the card I made for our gorgeous granddaughter Freya's recent birthday, I can't believe she is 4 already and will be starting school next year...where has the time gone ?! With my daughter being a single parent she relies on us for childcare so that she can work which means that we get to spend loads of time with Freya and she is the apple of our eye...she makes us laugh constantly with her antics even when she is being a little monster ;)

When I saw this Elisabeth Bell stamp (unfortunately the package doesn't have a name on it) I knew I had to get it for her card as we bought her a traditional trike last year which she absolutely loves

I used Birthday Script card from Anna Marie designs, the 4 is from a Stampin Up die and for the flowers I used a Tonic punch. The sentiment is from the Simply Teddy Birthdays set from DSB and I just ran around the edge with a pink marker.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
In the Pink Challenge #126 - Ribbons & Bows
The Cutie Pie Challenge #116 - Think Pink

And before I go I thought I would share a photo of the little monkey herself :)

Alf's Back !

Hi Everyone,

Alf is back from his little break ;) so I have another couple of cards to share with you

This is 'Dad's Shed - Alf' I coloured him with Promarkers and matted onto brown card, the paper is from The Works and so is the wooden lettering.

This is 'Sports Car Alf' again coloured with Promarkers, matted onto black card. The sentiment is also from DSB from the 'Large Family Sentiments' set.

I'm off to spend the morning in my craft room now before our grandaughter comes at lunchtime, she is spending the night with us tonight as her mum is having a night out :)

Thats all for now,

Sketchy Snowman

Hi Everyone,

I'm back with a couple of Christmas cards both made using 'Sketchy Snowman' from Digistamp Boutique.

On this one I left it CAS by printing it to fit the whole front of the card, the sentiment comes with the image. I love the font. He is coloured with Promarkers and I have added Stickles to their hats and the snow.

For this version I used papers from a Dovecraft paper stack 'Merry and Bright' which I bought at least 2 yrs ago for my Christmas cards and then never even opened it. I coloured the image to match and matted onto bright blue and pink card from Papermill. Added stickles as on the previous card and some Clearly Besotted snowflakes with some pink gems from my stash.
I'm pleased with both versions of this card, I can't decide which I prefer but I think probably the CAS one.

Thats all for now,

Hugs, Kaz xxx

Tennis Ralph

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well, I am getting to spend lots of time crafting lately so it's all good :)

While Alf is off on his little break hehe his cousin Ralph has come to visit ;)

The card I'm sharing today uses 'Tennis Ralph' from Digistamp Boutique

I found a little piece of cloud paper in my snippets box which I thought would be ideal to go with this image, I have coloured him with Promarkers. The scrim mesh is from my stash and the sentiment comes with the fab image.

That's all for now, I will be back later with a couple of  Xmas cards

Jolly Snowman

Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for all the well wishes regarding my MRI, I'm happy to say I survived it without any trauma ;) It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be as it was feet first so I only went in up to my chin so my claustrophobia could cope with that but Boy was it noisy !  Happy for it to be out the way, now I just have to wait 2 weeks for the results.

I thought I would give you a rest from Alf for a day or so just in case you don't love him as much as I do heehee and share a Christmas card today. This is using 'Jolly Snowman' from DSB

Again quite a CAS card, I matted onto Forest Green card and just added a wooden snowflake button that I bought on Ebay. The image was coloured with Promarkers and the sentiment is also DSB.

I would like to enter this card in the following Challenges:

Happy Little Stampers October Christmas Challenge - ATG
DigiStamp Boutique Oct Customer Competition - ATG
The Holly & the Ivy Christmas Challenge #16 - ATG

More Alf !

Hi Everyone,

I have been up since the crack of dawn today, I have my MRI at teatime tonight so I couldn't sleep for worrying about it :( To say I'm petrified is an understatement Lol I get really claustrophobic so I'm not sure how I am going to get on but it's got to be done so time to don my big girl's knickers and stop being a wuss....

Anyway as I have been up for hours I have got a few more cards done so I thought I would share 2 cards this morning...both featuring my favourite character Alf from DigiStamp Boutique.
The first one is a little bit out of season as it is BBQ Alf  !

I made quite a CAS card as I wanted the image to be the focal point, I coloured him with Promarkers and matted the panel onto red card. The sentiment is computer generated.

This card is using 'Cheers Alf' again coloured with Promarkers, I inked around the edges of the image and sentiment with Stormy Sky Distress Ink. The papers are The Lovely Studio (formerly Pink Petticoat) I faffed with this card for ages trying to decide what if any embellishment to add, I ended up adding 3 red gems from my stash.

That's all for now

Spring Honey

Good Morning Everyone,

Hope you are having a lovely weekend, we had rain most of the day yesterday so I spent the whole day in my craft room....Bliss :)

I have a girly card to share with you this morning using 'Spring Honey' from DigiStamp Boutique

Isn't she cute ?! I coloured her with Promarkers, the papers were from a pad I bought in The Works years ago and I have a few snippets left. I used a Tonic punch for the flowers and an XCut punch for the tiny butterflies.
The sentiment is Clearly Besotted and I confess it was meant to be stamped directly on the image but I mucked it up so I restamped it on a little strip of card and glued it over the top ;) A few pearls from my stash for the flowers and thats it.

Challenges

A Gem of a Challenge - Birthday Card
Passion for Promarkers - Pretty in Pink
In The Pink - #125 Flower Power

Toot Toot !

Hi Everyone,

I have a masculine card to share today using an LOTV stamp 'Toot Toot' ...I love this series of images and really enjoyed making this card :)

The plaid paper was in my snippets box so I'm not sure where it came from, I matted it onto brown card and the little bit of green paper was a magazine freebie I think years ago. I coloured the image with Promarkers and inked around the edges of the image and sentiments which are also LOTV with Old Paper Distress Ink. The scalloped card blank is a 7 x 7 from Anna Marie designs.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Be a Unicorn !

Hi Everyone,

Firstly welcome to my lovely new followers :)

I have a cute card to share today using 'Cute Unicorn' from DigiStamp Boutique

I made a card blank out of pink card and printed the image quite large, coloured with Promarkers and a liberal dose of Wink of Stella on the tail, mane and horn of the unicorn and also the stars. You can only just see it in the photo but its very sparkly.
The sentiment is left over from the teddy cards I shared last week and since my Ebosser has died so I couldn't die-cut it I punched it out and ran around it with metallic silver Sharpie pen to match the silver mirri that I mounted the image onto. A clear gem in each corner finished it off.

I thought I would also share a plaque I made a little while ago for a friend's little girl using the cute unicorn

I used my MFT Stitched Alphabet dies for her name in various colours and gave the letters and the unicorn a good coat of Glossy Accents then added a few resin flowers that I bought from a lovely seller on Facebook.

Thats all for now,

Hugs, Kaz xxx

Woodware Winter Trees

Hi Everyone,

I have a trio of Christmas Cards to share today using a Woodware stamp set 'Forest'

I used various shades of Distress Inks for the backgrounds brushed on with my Ink Duster brushes then dropped water on with a waterbrush, left for a few seconds and mopped up with kitchen towel.

I then stamped the trees with Memento Ink, masking the tree in the foreground to stamp the others. This is where it would have been handy to have a Misti as on a couple of the trees I didn't get the clear impression I wanted, I stamped the sentiment also from the set underneath and then cut the panels just a fraction smaller than the card fronts.

I'm going to enter the blue version into the lovely Darnell's NBUS Challenge as I bought this stamp set 2 years ago and this is the first time it has got an inking :)

Thats all for now,

Hugs Kaz xxx
